Jamaica Inn

New kitchen and food servery OPENS!

On 23 July Jamaica Inn's large new state-of-the-art kitchen and brand new servery opens. Located in a brand new building at the rear of the Inn, it cost over £600,000 to build and fit out with the latest hi tech ovens, fryers, huge walk-in fridges and freezers, plate warmers, dishwashers etc.  The new food servery has also been newly equipped.

The kitchen has been built big enough to also serve a planned new function suit that will seat up to 250 guests and is expected to be built next year - it will be one of the biggest venues in Cornwall.  It will be round, themed on the ancient round houses of Bodmin Moor and be called the Round House.  Slate and stone will ensure it is in character with the Inn and its panoramic windows will provide breathtaking views over the moor.

Initial enquiries for weddings and corporate events in the Round House have already started coming in!

A farm shop is expected to be started this Autumn and planning permission has also been granted for up to 17 more en suite bedrooms.
