PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS

The Jamaica Inn has its own dedicated paranormal team: Karin, Lisa, Craig and Gemma, experienced investigators with deep knowledge of the Inn’s history and its friendly resident spirits.

We pride ourselves on honesty and integrity, working to a strong code of conduct during all investigations. After all, not every tap, knock or shadow is a ghost.

After your two course dinner, teams of around six receive a case containing paranormal investigation equipment, clear descriptions of how each item works and a selection of reports gathered here over the years.

Advice will be given on where and when to use the equipment and we are always on hand to help. Each vigil area includes experiments to try, and guidance is always available.

This is your chance to become Paranormal Detectives and help investigate some of the Inn’s long-standing unsolved mysteries.

We have great respect for the spirits at the Jamaica Inn and ask our guests the same.

We encourage enthusiasm, laughter and fun. Hosting paranormal events since 2014 we have learned that the energy brought to the evening is often mirrored by our spirits. Jack, our mischievous resident ghost, is particularly fond of playing the occasional prank.

Extend your experience and book one of our haunted bedrooms making your visit into a truly unforgettable weekend?

Not for the faint-hearted!

For years there have been stories of paranormal activity at Jamaica Inn.

Many people staying have reported strange incidents occurring usually at night. Popular TV programme ‘Most Haunted’ featured Jamaica Inn in what they said was one of the spookiest episodes they had ever recorded!

The British Paranormal Association have made in-depth investigations and compiled a report based on their findings and awarded the Inn an official stamp of approval for being a genuine haunted establishment!  The areas of substantial interest in the investigation were the Smugglers’ Bar, former Stable Bar (now the museum), old generator room (now the Hotel Reception), the original bedrooms, Pedlar’s restaurant, Gift Shop and the stable’s attic.

If you are brave enough, join in one of our ghost hunts – but as we say, it is not for the faint-hearted!

Ideal for: Birthdays – Anniversaries – Team Building – Corporate Events – Christmas Parties
