Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing to stay at Jamaica Inn. Please note that by making this booking you are entering into a legal agreement on the following terms and conditions with the above Company (referred to below as Jamaica Inn, us, we or our). Please read through carefully.
RATES
We reserve the right to increase and decrease the rates of available accommodation at any time. The rate for your stay will be agreed at the time of you making the booking and cannot be varied unless both you and Jamaica Inn agree in writing.
PAYMENT FOR ROOMS
At the time of the reservation the amount of the payment for the accommodation is agreed and confirmed by Jamaica Inn. Payment will need to be made in full at the time of booking. If reserving less than 7 days ahead full payment is made and is non-refundable. Confirmation of all reservations will be sent to you by email. Once a reservation is made a legally binding contract will exist between you and Jamaica Inn incorporating all of these terms.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation terms are stated in the ‘Payment for Rooms’ paragraph above.
NON-AVAILABILITY OF ACCOMODATION
Jamaica Inn reserves the right to refuse a future booking for any reason but will endeavour never to cancel a booking once made. This would usually only occur when it was necessary to do so due to reasons beyond our control. In either event we would do our best, if appropriate, to offer you similar alternative accommodation. However, if this was not possible then we would refund all monies paid for the accommodation being cancelled. Our liability would not extend beyond such a refund under any circumstances.
ARRIVAL / CHECK IN
We would appreciate being advised of your estimated time of arrival in advance, but this is not essential. Your accommodation will be available to check into by 4pm on your day of arrival but entirely at our discretion it may be made available to you earlier if you request it and if it is possible and agreed in writing. The last check-in time is 12 midnight and any later check-in time would be at the discretion of Jamaica Inn and if agreed to it would be subject to an additional charge of £10 per room unless any other arrangement is agreed to in writing by us prior to your arrival.
LATE ARRIVAL PROCEDURE
We understand that travel arrangements and other circumstances can, on occasion, be unpredictable and result in a late arrival. In these circumstances please use your reasonable endeavours to inform us of this by ringing Jamaica Inn on 01566 86250 as soon as you know you may be arriving late. In any event the above will still apply in respect of any late arrival.
REGISTRATION
Upon arrival a registration form will need to be completed including providing contact details not previously provided and any car registration number. Registering is a legal requirement and applies to all guests under the Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972 (as amended) for insurance and fire precaution purposes. Only guests who have been properly registered may occupy any accommodation. All information provided is kept safe and secure by us in accordance to GDPR and will only be used by Jamaica Inn during its course of business and will not be passed on to any other entity.
DEPARTURE
Please vacate your accommodation by 11am on the day of your departure otherwise Jamaica Inn reserves the right to charge whatever costs are incurred due to any later departure. Such charge may be in excess of just the following night’s rack rate for the accommodation. Entirely at our discretion, a later departure time and a charge may be agreed with you if you request it. We will provide an invoice when you check out when payment for any unpaid room improvements, additional services, food or drink must be made.
VISITORS
We do not permit unregistered guests into hotel rooms for health and safety reasons. If you would like someone else in your room at any time, then please ring the hotel reception. Depending on the circumstances this may or may not be agreed to but if it is then a dual occupancy rate may be required, and details of the other person added to your registration information.
DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES
You are responsible for caring for the accommodation you occupy and for leaving it in the condition it was in on your arrival. Any damage or breakages caused, whether accidental or otherwise, will be charged at the cost Jamaica Inn incurs in reinstating the accommodation. Any such costs will be debited to the credit card used to pay for the accommodation, or by other means should this not be possible, and you will be notified either before or after payment has been debited. You accept that it is also your responsibility to advise the hotel reception before departure of any such known damage or breakages and we reserve the right to charge an extra £50 if not reported to us prior to check out to cover our potential extra costs in rectifying unexpected damage or breakages quickly before the next guest.
KEYS
Guests will be provided with a room key plus a front door key on check-in. One set of keys will be issued per room. If you require a second set, please ask at the hotel reception when you arrive. Lost key or keys or failure to return them, will be charged at a minimum of £60 per set to cover the cost of replacing both the lock and the keys.
