Reminder of whats on in February

Don’t forget it’s all happening here at Jamaica Inn in February. Chinese New Year Monday 8th, Pancake Day Tuesday 9th, Ghost Hunt Friday 12th, Murder Mystery Saturday 13th and Valentines Sunday 14th.  Also Jamaica Inn's very own quiz night every Wednesday starting on the 10th February.

Here at Jamaica Inn we would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. 2016 is going to be another busy year for the Inn with lots planned. The most exciting will be the grand opening of the new Farm Shop - opening in the Spring. Wonderful, local, fresh produce for all our locals and travelling tourists. On the 22nd Decemeber 2015 Jamaica Inn's kitchens had a routine inspection by a Cornwall Council's Enivronmental Health Officer and was awarded a 5* rating which is the highest score the Food Standards Agency can award.

New Farm Shop building starts.

The building of Jamaica Inn's new Farm Shop starts in November with a target date for opening of Easter 2016. At present, the nearest shops are 11 miles away in Launceston or Bodmin, so locals will be able to do their weekly shop or just pop in for the morning paper, bread or milk without a round trip of over 20 miles! On 23 July Jamaica Inn's large new state-of-the-art kitchen and brand new servery opens. Located in a brand new building at the rear of the Inn, it cost over £600,000 to build and fit out with the latest hi tech ovens, fryers, huge walk-in fridges and freezers, plate warmers, dishwashers etc.  The new food servery has also been newly equipped. Opening times... Jamaica Inn is open from 7.30am, when breakfast is served to hotel guests and visitors, right through to midnight with dinner being served up to 9pm. The Museums are open from 8am to 9pm throughout the year and the Gift Shop and Farm Shop are open every day with times varying.
